The Village of Readfield is located in the Town of Readfield, Marquette County. The village is situated on the Crawfish River, approximately midway between the cities of Green Bay and Milwaukee. Readfield is approximately 60 miles northwest of Milwaukee and 150 miles northeast of Madison. Readfield was originally settled in the 1830s by Yankee settlers from New England. The village was platted in 1844 and incorporated in 1887. The village was named for Readfield, Maine, the hometown of some of the early settlers. See here for information about Ostrander, WI.
